Working together to improve the quality of life for York County older adults.

Mission Statement

York County Association of Senior Centers is a 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing collaboration, training, and support among all of our senior centers to enhance access to services, opportunities, and education, and provide nutrition for older adults.

Who are we?

YCAS is a collaboration of all York County Senior Centers. We are an independent non-profit organization, which allows us to work together as a unit to improve services throughout York County. This will allow us to improve marketing, funding, programming, and so much more. YCAS is committed to helping seniors continue to live independently, stay active, learn new things, and connect with other older adults.

Founding

The York County Senior Center was founded in the fall of 1985 by senior center staff members passionate about providing quality services to seniors in York County. There were 16-17 senior centers in York County at the time, and the center's founders wanted to create a space where staff members from all the centers could come together to share ideas, learn from each other, and advocate for the needs of seniors.

Our Goals

To provide quality services and resources to seniors in York County.

To advocate for the rights and interests of seniors.

To educate the public about the needs and challenges of seniors.
